"Lt Mathers with one squad left on motor patrol at 1300 hr. to San Isidro to investigate report of 8 Japs in that area. Found no evidence of enemy. The patrol brought back one Filipino that had been wounded by the Japanese. Informal inspection by  "End of entry.

I was gone at this time to Dumaguete. I do not remember why I was sent there, but about three of us made the trip by jeep, and we were gone several days.
